2007 TCRS #5 Results

The Dominican Bowl had not been utilized as a TCRS in at least a few years, and it was a fitting conclusion to the hilly chapter of this 2007 season. Mike Holland generously volunteered to monitor a critical junction at the furthest point on the course, and he left early enough to give himself a little sightseeing time on the ridgetop. He's still shaking his head at how quickly Roy Rivers arrived, seemingly in a bit of a hurry and with competition having been left well behind. Liz Shortino also passed Mike in apparent command of the two Karen's and Moriah, but misfortune at an uncertain intersection late in the game may well have denied Liz a victory. Liz is as good a sport as there is, but the frustration had to be considerable. For Liz, Andy, and everyone for whom course clarity was lacking, sincere apologies. The more intense the racing focus, the more reliant the racer is on clear indicators, and Race Management truly wants happy participants. Don't miss Brad's party at the San Geronimo Golf Course on Friday evening, July 13. Despite extreme warmth last year, it was a tremendously successful event, and promises to be again. Thanks as always to our wonderful crew of volunteers.
