2009 TCRS #2 Results

What is it with these TCRS folks? On a miserably wet, cold and windy February morning, they turned out in droves at McGinnis Park as excited as little children on Christmas morning, some even expressing dismay that the sloppiest parts of the intended course had to be declared impassable. For the nostalgia buffs, the middle section of the revised course was the eastern part of the old Saint Vincent's course, and the warm sentiments it engendered helped maybe a tiny bit against the howling winds and rain. Jeff Peterson and Valerie Young demonstrated the fresh new Tamalpa racing environment with their victories, and a very hardy group of youngsters endured a successful Kids Race for the second consecutive month. Lillie, Heidi, Jay, Tom, Mike and friends continued to give the rest of us the illusion that we can just show up and run at these things, and did we mention Florencia and The Magic Donuts?. - Jim Myers
