2010 TCRS #2 Results

So that was The Hill. The long-awaited finish atop Mount McInnis was finally realized at the February TCRS, and it was a most challenging conclusion to a fine course designed by Mike Holland. Too bad we couldn't see ten feet in any direction. A beautiful fog, perfectly still to the point of eerie, allowed for excellent running conditions provided you didn't run into a tree. It was chilly, but compared to the previous year's rainstorm, we'll probably take the fog, and assume that one of these days we'll see how scenic that hilltop can be. Mark McManus maintained his perch atop the TCRS world but not without a real good push from talented new Tamalpan Jim Sorensen. The two of them truly ran away from a very good field. Jen Wallen continues to introduce her considerable running abilities to TCRS with her victory over Kathy Herzog and high-schooler Lauren Creath. The award-winning TCRS crew managed the multi-location logistics of the morning's plan without a hitch, and we're told that postcards of the view from the top are available in the golf course clubhouse. - Jim Myers
