With hundreds of miles of fire roads and trails, numerous bike paths and many popular road routes, documenting Marin's running possibilities is a daunting prospect. Rather than describe a handful of these trails on this website, we've elected to point you to some popular and useful resources for finding your way around Marin on foot.
At the top of the heap are two books by Barry Spitz, "Tamalpais Trails" and "Marin Open Spaces". Barry is a fellow runner and writes with great detail and appreciation about Marin's Trails. Both of these books can be found at many Marin bookstores.
There are also several online resources for learning more about Marin's running routes. You'll find our list of these online resources on our links page.
Please send us the names of any other good links or books on Marin Trails.
