Empire Runners Club members have lost their homes to the fire and seek housing

Three Empire Runners Club families, whose homes were destroyed by the fire, are looking for long-term housing.  All are currently in short-term housing. If you have any leads, please contact them.

Annual Johnny Lawson XC Race 2017

Race Date:
November 5, 2017

Start Times:

Women – 9:00 AM

Master Men – 10:00 AM

Open Men – 11:00 AM

Race Location: At China Camp State Park, San Rafael. The race start will be on the fire road right off of North San Pedro Road,
but race day registration will be 1/4 mile up the fire road in Miwok Meadows.

Parking is limited: Please carpool to the greatest extent possible.
Please park on North San Pedro road and do not take the fire road down to Miwok Meadows. Be careful to park off of the pavement, ticketing for cars parked on the road has occurred in the past.
There will be a sign directing runners.

$20, if postmarked by October 28th, 2017 and $25 after.

TCRS #9 – October 15 – CANCELLED

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO POOR AIR QUALITY IN MARIN

First off, we want to pass along our best wishes to all members and their families and friends who have been affected by the fires this week. We hope that everyone stays healthy and safe.

Eight events down and only two to go and the TCRS points race is still up for grabs! Meet us this Sunday for a 4.8 mile loop around the Pacheco Valle. This course has a challenging climb for the first few miles before dropping back down to the start/finish area. Here’s a link to the course: https://www.strava.com/activities/1003859781. IF THE SMOKE CONTINUES TO LINGER THIS WEEKEND, WE MAY CANCEL OR MOVE THE EVENT. Watch for emails and Facebook updates during the week.

Members and guests are invited to the race which starts at 8:45AM for the 60 and over crowd and 9:00AM for the rest of the participants. We will have coffee and bagels after the run so come join us for another exciting TCRS.

TCRS #8 this Sunday September 24

Seven events down and three to go and the TCRS points race is still up for grabs! Meet us this Sunday for a 5.5 mile run around the familiar stomping grounds of Crown Road and the Blithedale Ridge Fire Road. The course starts with a flat 2.5 miles out on the Crown Fire Road before heading up the Huckleberrry Trail and the Blithedale Ridge Trail before bounding down the Hoo-Koo-E-Koo trail to the finish.
