Sun, October 8th, Tamalpa’s Annual Johnny Lawson Cross Country PAUSATF Race

The Johnny Lawson Tamalpa Challenge is a race in memory of one of Tamalpa’s most gregarious and generous runners,  John Lawson, a Tamalpa Runner who, at age 44 died suddenly of a heart attack in 2000. He was a friend to many club members who loved him dearly. His family carries on his spirit, as they host this run every year. The race is held in Miwok Meadows, in China Camp State Park, in San Rafael, CA.

We have designed a 4.25 mile course that is a slightly rolling course with approximately 1/4 mile on pavement with the rest of the course on fire road or single track trail.
