The Christmas Relays is a PA-USATF Road Series event hosted annually by WVTC in mid-December. Individuals each run one 4.5-mile leg in teams of four to compete in various divisions.
When: 9:00 a.m. Sunday, December 14, 2025
Where: Lake Merced in San Francisco
Start/Finish and all exchange points occur at the Sunset Circle parking lot at Lake Merced. (Cross streets: Sunset Blvd and Lake Merced Blvd.)
Parking: The Sunset Circle lot will be closed to parking. Street parking is plentiful on and near Sunset Blvd, but please give yourselves time to walk to the start.
Registration is done through Tamalpa Team captains!

- Each team (Male/Female and Age decade divisions) is led by a Tamalpa Team Captain.
- Team Captains will contact you for your team assignments, logistics, and payments due.

More About the Pacific Association-USA Track & Field (PA-USATF) https://www.pausatf.org/
By joining the Pacific Association you will:
- Be eligible to compete and score points in the many Pacific Association and National USATF championship competition;
- Support the sports disciplines listed above and their athlete development programs;
- Receive a membership in the national USATF Association;
- Have the opportunity to become a certified track & field, distance running, and/or race walking official;
- Receive member benefits that include event participation insurance, a subscription to Fast Forward (the national USATF quarterly magazine), and more
- The Pacific Association oversees and administers region-wide programs for all ages in track and field, long distance running, and race walking. (Tamalpa competes in 3 programs!).
- Our largest component are youth (ages 18 and under), who compete in all three of these sports disciplines.
- We support them with regional events that lead up to national Junior Olympic competitions.
Members can join PA-USATF any time during the year.
Members must join before participating in a race to score for your team. (You don’t have to be a member to run.)
HOW TO JOIN:

- Dues for combined USATF and Pacific total $100. (Consider it an investment in yourself, your hobby, or less than one dinner on the town with a friend!)
- Membership get you a membership #…and all the other benefits listed above.
- Team Captains check the membership database before scoring our teams for each race…so they know who is/isn’t current in their membership!
