Well, since Scottie Scheffler wasn’t able to show up after being arrested by the McInnis Park rangers this year’s Golden Shoes Trophy was awarded to Tamalpa’s favorite son, John Lundy. It was a close contest between Phil Oreste and John Lundy – who prevailed due to his outstanding TCRS race, followed by near perfect golf (minus a mulligan). Thanks to the new algorithm for calculating final score based on race time and golf score, age, and the “law of averages,” John prevailed by 5% to win the coveted Golden Shoes trophy. Acknowledging that his wife was glad to be rid of those shoes from taking up space on the mantle for family photos, Phil relinquished the trophy to John. Congratulation John. We’ll see you next year as you defend your title. (Maybe this time Scottie will show up).
